Teams

Teams
Teams are a cool new way to cooperate and socialize with other New Kids like yourself. You can join a team, or create your own when you reach PVP Arena 3. You can find teams in Butters' house on the right side.

I've found a team but can't join! Why?
This can be because:
  • The team is full. Teams can only have up to 50 members.
  • The team leader set the team to "closed" so that it doesn't accept new applicants.
  • You’re not yet awesome enough to join this team. Requirements can be New Kid level or PVP Arena. You can check them at the team info panel.

Why should I join a team?
Simply put, because it's more fun when there's more people. You can chat and discuss cards, decks and strategies with your teammates. Also, you can help each other to level up your decks and New Kids by requesting and donating cards. Each 8 hours you can request a common or rare card and get 12 copies of common or 3 copies of rare.

    Friendly Fights
In Team view, you can challenge your teammates to a Friendly Fight. Requests for Friendly Fights will appear in the team chat, and you'll be matched against the first teammate who answers the request.
Friendly Fights are... friendly! Meaning that you don't rank up or down, open lockers, or gain progress toward your PVP pack. But, you can test new decks or cards you've just unlocked.
You can use your regular decks in Friendly Fights, but to ensure that fights are fair, even for players of very different levels, there are two special rules:
    • New Kid is always level 11
    • Cards are leveled to Friendly Standard:
      • Common cards are Level 4
      • Rare cards are Level 3
      • Epic cards are Level 2
      • Legendary cards are Level 1
Those rules only apply during Friendly Fights and do not affect your regular PVP play or your card collection.

Why would I give my cards away?
  • First off, you never lose a card you already have. Even if you have no copies of it, you can still use the card!
  • Second, there may be cards that you don't need at the moment, but your teammates do. Remember, sharing is caring!
  • Third, donating cards is a great way to earn extra coins and level up your New Kid. For each copy of a card you donate, you get Experience and Coins. Each Common card you donate gives you 2 XP and 5 coins, and each Rare card donated gives you 6 XP and 15 coins.

I want a specific card but I can't request it. Why?
You can only request copies of the cards you already have. In order to request a card from a teammate you need to find it yourself first, in card packs or loot lockers. Plus, you can only request Common or Rare cards. If you need extra copies of Epic or Legendary card, look for them in Shops or Loot lockers.

    What are Team Wars?
Team Wars is a fun new way to cooperate as a Team and compete against other Teams in South Park: Phone Destroyer. You and your Teammates will build a shared Team Deck, work together to level up cards in it, and then battle it out on the streets of South Park.

Can I leave the team during the war?
If you have already participated in a current Team War, you can leave the team, come back to it, and still be eligible for the remaining part of Team War. Anything you do for the Team War is considered participation (voted on at least one card, spent at least one Bottle Cap, and so on). However, once you have participated for any Team, you will not be eligible for Team Wars for any other teams. If you have not participated in a Team War and switch your team during the Voting Days, you will be eligible for your new Team’s war. If you plan on changing a team, Voting Days is the only time you can do so without missing out on a Team War.

Why should I vote on cards?
To help your teammates pick the best cards, and to be eligible for current Team War. Once you vote on at least one card, you become part of the Team War for your current team. Another important aspect of Voting Days is that all 12 pairs of cards should have at least one vote for the team to proceed to Upgrade Days. If a pair of cards has no votes, the Team is disqualified from remaining days of Team War, because it won’t have a valid Team Deck.

How can I get more Bottle Caps?
You can’t. To ensure that Team Wars are fair for everybody, Bottle Caps are only available in the first PVP pack on each Upgrade Day for all the players, and you can’t get more of them.

How do Team Deck Levels work?
Level of the card in your team caps the stats of the cards that you use in Battle Days.
  • Card stats never go below the Friendly Levels: Level 4 for Common cards, level 3 for Rare cards, level 2 from Epic cards and level 1 for Legendary cards. So if you have a card at a level lower than Friendly Level, you will use it at Friendly level.
  • If level of the card in your collection is higher than Team Level, you will use it at Team Level.

How are Teams matched into brackets?
Teams are matched with each other based on their League and the number of players who had earned any amount of Bottle Caps during the Upgrade Days. This way we ensure that you always compete at your own level.

    How does Battle Run work?
During your Battle Run you will play against other players who are also playing Team Wars, and will use your Team’s War Deck. Battle Run ends when you reach 3 victories or 3 losses, whichever comes first. At this point, you get a score for your performance in the Battle Run, and this score is added to your Team’s Score for the current war. If you don’t finish your Battle Run, your team will not have any points from you, and you will not get any rewards from the war.

    What are the Team Leagues?
Each Team War, your Team earns Crowns. Teams earn or lose crowns based on their final standing in the bracket. Accumulate Crowns to advance to higher, more competitive Team Leagues, where you will have better rewards and more Bottle Caps to earn and spend.
